On January 20th, the Vice Chancellor and President of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD)-Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Vice President (Global Engagement)-Dr Joyce Teo Siew Yean, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Vice President (Industry Engagement and Enterprise Development)-Dr Masairol Masri, and Dean, and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education-Dr Hardimah Said, visited the Snibe headquarters. Snibe's Chairman and CEO, Dr. Wei Rao, and the Vice President of International Business, Ms. Lucy Liu, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding potential collaborations in the field of medical technology, culminating in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU marks a significant milestone in the medical diagnostics sector, with both parties committed to exploring ways to advance the healthcare Research and Development (R&D) on Brunei.

Snibe has been dedicated to the field of in vitro diagnostics for 30 years, consistently contributing its expertise and innovation to the advancement of human health. As an important partner of the UBD, Snibe will leverage the close integration of industry-university-research to deepen cooperation with the University of Brunei in medical technology, collaboratively facilitating the transformation of research outcomes into clinical applications.
During the meeting, Snibe and UBD reached a consensus to jointly explore innovative solutions on medical technologies research and development, as well as capacity building through resource sharing and technological cooperation. Looking ahead, Snibe will continue to collaborate closely with UBD, focusing on innovative medical solutions to further elevate healthcare standards in Brunei and Southeast Asia.
